ABC Report on Super and Inheritance

There is more to estate planning than just having a Will.

This news report is a good reminder to make sure that you have a current, binding death benefit nomination in place that dovetails with your estate planning strategy:

Despite the common misperception, your superannuation does not automatically come into your estate after your death - which means that it is not automatically distributed in accordance with your Will.

When planning for your family’s future, it is important to ensure that you see an experienced estate planning lawyer who can advise and assist you to devise and implement an estate planning strategy that is most beneficial to your loved ones and gives you certainty and peace of mind.
